Mark your calendars on 19 to 21 August 2016, folks! The 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon and Community Running Festival is all set to hold its fifth annual marathon at Alexandra Headlands Surf Club, Mooloolaba.
Dubbed as one of the most-loved running festivals in Australia and a member of the Association of International Marathons and Road Races (AIMS), 7 Sunshine Coast Marathon has selected an ideal location that boasts a flat course along the stunning coastline of Alexandra Headlands, combined with perfect weather conditions - blue skies, low humidity, and mild temperatures - for a great running experience ahead.
The three-day marathon will be comprised of a full 42-km marathon, 21-km half marathon, and 10-km, 5-km, and 2-km fun run categories, along the scenic beachfront course. Organisers of the fifth annual event have set their sights on raising $250,000 this year. These categories enable participants get to choose according to their ability and age.
