Since its establishment in 2002, NOOSA alive! - previously known as Noosa Long Weekend Festival - has grown to become one of the Sunshine Coast’s leading music, art and performance festivals, which has since hosted some of the biggest names in local and national talent. NOOSA alive! is a not-for-profit organisation, and aims to showcase and celebrate performing artists of all areas and backgrounds with the unique and laid-back tropical environment of Noosa Heads as the festival’s representative backdrop.

Back for 2019, NOOSA alive! will celebrate its 18th year with another dynamic lineup of performances and exhibits that will bring together the region’s best in theatre, music, dance, film, literature and arts. These will take place in various venues and outdoor locations around Noosa Heads - including The J Theatre, Noosa Arts Theatre, Noosa Regional Gallery and Noosaville Lions Park - all of which are not to be missed if you share in appreciation for Australia’s rich and diverse cultural background.

This year, just a few of the unmissable events and performances packed into the 10-day lineup include the NOOSA alive! Opening Ceremony, Queensland Ballet, Noosa Orchestra, The Umbilical Brothers, One-Act Play, Slow Food with Film, OPERA PUNK, Australian Poetry Slam, GANZ A Cappella, Modern Maori Quarter Stars of Tomorrow, Fire in the Sky and many more.
